Re: UK politics

Apparently Corbyn should be strung up because he pointed out that, if we want to be the ‘good guys’, we need to follow the rules we’re supposedly holding others to:

Re: UK politics

Where's that? My boy did say to me yesterday that some of her old tweets were interesting, but I've not seen them. She made sweeping generalisations about Pakistanis in her constituency and, when challenged, made a complaint against the person who challenged her. She's also taken digs at Diane Abbo...

We have to start somewhere.

I like Jess Phillips but I don't know whether she's a very good local MP and lacking the skills to be party leader.

I think Kier Starmer may be the best option to try to start some change.
Jess Phillips appears to be somewhat racist and transphobic...

Re: UK politics

So, who should those of us with a vote cast it for in the Labour Leadership election? (I appreciate that there other places on the interwebs where this issue is no doubt being discussed, but I'm avoiding those...) The problem is that, apart from Starmer, there are very few candidates with the gravi...

Re: Meanwhile...

Perfect. That's why I listed so many options, so you could see the possibilities. It's a great breakfast IMHO, has become very trendy recently ("overnight oats"). I don't like the claggy, wallpaper-paste quality of cooked porridge, so it's nearly the only way I can eat oats. Well, that and ANZAC bi...

Re: Anyone doing a January - um - thing?

I’m dry January-ing (albeit starting on 5 January, following the YACF Epiphany meet). I’m also determined to lose more weight before my next Camino (probably in May/June).

Dunckel is at work because Dunckel didn't save any of his annual leave to extend Christmas. Dunckel is an idiot.
I’m working today and tomorrow morning, and then I’m off until 6 January. I’ve also had to carry some leave over, as I’ve been so busy this year I haven’t been able to use it all.

Re: Intermittent Fasting

My sister is doing it and has done well.

I did try it but it is difficult to maintain if your other half isn’t.... but I did OK with it. Good thing about current approach is that Jon is doing it as well (albeit he does sometimes cheat when at work).

Re: UK politics

All three of those sites say any tactical voting in our constituency should be for LibDem, which is pretty obvious. But they are also all predicting that even with tactical voting, the conservatives would get in. We are usually considered a safe seat. If there was even an outside chance of local fa...

Re: UK politics

I am strong remain supporter in a current Lib Dem seat (which occasionally goes Tory), so tactical and actual voting are the same thing for me. I realised the other day that I am so pro-remain, that I would probably vote Lib Dem even if that might help a Tory win a seat. Brexit is a windmill I feel...
