Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

There's a bit of a struggle going on at the moment with test centres trying to maximise the number of vaccinations they can administer every day. No-shows, advertising availability, having enough doses available on a certain day while not opening a new batch only to have to throw some away at the en...

Re: E-bikes

I have been looking around, without much success - all the hybrids seem to have suspension forks, which I don't want, and all the lighter 'road' styled frames won't take a rack, which I do want. No one seems to have any stock at the moment anyway. So I preordered a Swytch kit, to convert my existin...

E-bikes

Potentially stepping into the world of ebikes on C2W.

Who's got the knowledge? Budget up to £2.2k, looking for a hybrid with lights, guards, racks ideally.

The only one I've had any experience of is a friend's Haibike.

Open to any advice. Thanks.

Re: Twitter watch

Ah yes I remember that. A classic. Are we all up on the new internet sensation that is the Handforth Parish Council Meeting? https://twitter.com/SophyRidgeSky/status/1357425478739632134?s=20 It's like a Reeves and Mortimer sketch. If I hadn't been unfortunate enough to watch some of our town counci...

Re: Twitter watch

Did I mention Dean Browning, the failed Republican politician who created a fake account of a "black gay guy" who wanted to say that Trump had done more for him than Obama, but accidently posted it from his real account? Its entertaining following him.

Re: Twitter watch

Who needs an explanation when he can ruffle his hair.

I agree with people that Boris looks exhausted and drained. But I don't agree that we should give him sympathy. If he feels up against it it's because he is, because he's an incompetent buffoon who can't get away with diversion by Latin any more.

Re: Twitter watch

Have you watched JD's YouTube clips. As someone who made a living by making people laugh, he's a grumpy old sod.

He's gone like Bernard Manning did - can't cope with the fact that his comedy is retrospectively not funny or appropriate. He's a grumpy old YouTube man.

We're seeing some of this down here. What started off as emergency provision turns into a free personal shopper.

Centrelock disc dynamo hub front wheel

Any recommendations for something at the lower end of price? I'm finding a few ready-built on the German websites but they're tending to be heavier rims for touring or ebikes. The bike is a Cube Hyde Race with deeper rims so it's not your solid tourer. I've looked at getting someone to build a dyana...

That's brilliant.

I have had such negative experiences of car dealers that I am actually shocked by this. It was a lie, but a lie of omission, and they made it right.

Well done!
It really surprised me, but for a lesson in turning things around it's a good one for any dealer.
