Guess what I was doing this evening?

You know, being a cultural Catholic (I'm all in except for the attitudes to celibacy, contraception, abortion, the authority of the pope and....the existence of God), I am just a little uncomfortable about bonfire night.

But food, wine and friends make it just about bearable.

Also whoosh...bang....aah!

It looks like it.

But I don't remember noticing any naked butts. I am usually very observant of that sort of thing.

BTW, just to be clear, you only asked one question in your post, neither of my sentences was a guess at an answer.

Also the flames look like a dinosaur having a fight with a snake.

I'm disappointed (I'm not sure that's quite the right word) that now I am on the computer rather than the phone the mooner looks less naked or at least debagged.

If you mean Gloucester services, that's owned by the family who set up Tebay services in the Lake District.

We called at the Tebay services last weekend. They are very nice, farm shop, tea room looking over duckpond, homemade-style food, artisan local suppliers and all. But the sheer wonder of them not being the depressingly soul destroying standard offering does tend to blind one to the fact of them still being distinctly expensive.

I may have been working off duff information and should have fact checked first. Anyway, it is a nice alternative to the usual chain offeringd.

They are. But the standard offerings are pretty expensive too, so I will take "expensive and nice" over "expensive and crap".

Agreed. My thoughts were no doubt influenced by the memory of how much we paid for a bottle artesan gin. My wife assures me it was worth it though.

I don’t think I’ll be applying for one:

Yup, because that was always going to be the worst thing that could happen when big tech starts issuing credit.
