Meanwhile...
Re: Meanwhile...
Weather’s a bit rough. But Parkrun calls. I’ll have to dig out the waterproof trainers.

Re: Meanwhile...
Weather here is dreadful, going nowhere until later this afternoon. Good luck with the parkrun.

Surprisingly, I managed my second fastest time on this course. And that’s despite lots of slippery muddy areas.Lullabelle wrote: ↑4 years agoWeather here is dreadful, going nowhere until later this afternoon. Good luck with the parkrun.
I’ve ordered myself a pair of Altra Lone Peak 4 RSM trail shoes, as my waterproof walking trainers didn’t really cope very well (the tread is quite worn) And I don’t think we’re going to be experiencing a drought any time soon.
I’ve got a pair of the Altra Lone Peak 4 mesh trail shoes (bought for my next Camino) and they are super comfy. Trying to find a pair of the RSM version was fun though, as very few places stock them.

Re: Meanwhile...
Last night, I went to hear one of our local-ish G&S societies do Ruddigore.
But if I started enthusing about how they restored the second verse of the Act 2 opening and the original finale, though regrettably not the full ghost chorus dialogue nor "henceforth all the crimes", and how they managed to interpolate extracts from Mikado and Gondoliers, I suspect I would have exceeded the boredom threshold of most of you many-fold..... mind you, I probably exceeded the boredom threshold of most of you merely by mentioning G&S....

My only negative reaction was slight shame that I no longer know g&s well enough to recognise those details.JohnToo wrote: ↑4 years agoLast night, I went to hear one of our local-ish G&S societies do Ruddigore.

Re: Meanwhile...
For the second time in three days, I've been to an event with a noticeable number of empty seats (which I know were sold from when I bought my own ticket). Coronavirus stay-away panic setting in?

Re: Meanwhile...
Ah. I haven't noticed that yet.
But I woke up with a cough on Sunday morning. I think it may have been gastric reflux. But my first thought was chest infection? Oh, no, coronavirus!
I am loving the rumours that Corona Beer and Chinese restaurants are suffering. I always enjoy other people's stupidity.
One thing that is definitely Covid-19 related:
