Helmets: you always hope for better...

I subscribe to the Mountain Rescue magazine (it's a convenient way of supporting mountain rescue without feeling you have to donate separately to every single team whose patch you go walking in). In the latest issue there's an article about issues raised by mountain bike injuries. It includes a case study of a bloke who hit a tree at an estimated 40 kph. It then says:

Saw this on FB today. It amazing what confirmation bias can do. She shouldn't be praising the helmet, she should be consulting a lawyer, because it catastrophically failed to do it job! Even more scary, she didn't go to A&E because she doesn't think losing an hour is sign of a potentially serious head injury.
