Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

Since the announcement that we are going back into lock down, I have received a lot of phone calls from suppliers asking if we are still open-yes we are, nothing has changed.

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

Yes, it must be great sitting at home on 80% of your pay, while your bills and outgoings remain the same or even increase, worrying that you might suddenly be made redundant when the scheme comes to an end. Just like being on holiday. Her 2 kids aren't going to school so they are at home all day us...

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

Today my colleague was complaining about the unfairness of people being paid to sit at home yet we still have to work-I pointed out that nobody chose covid, yes she knows but it still isn't fair.

Re: Meanwhile...

Well, obviously 🤣 But, are you OK?? I have a long history of issues with my ear and have regular checkups, over the weekend my ear decided to really go for it so this morning I called the booking centre at the hospital and was told I can only get an appointment by GP referral, rang GP, cannot speak...

Well, to be fair, we have apparently moved from level 4/3 to level 1. If that isn't a miracle, I don't know what is.

To be honest I have lost track of what is going on, the briefings all appear to be ramblings.

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

Glad he's home. You must be relieved. Was it an n95 mask? Only face mask I have tried is my homemade nonsense. I cannot tell you...he will have to go back in but hopefully he will be well enough to have the procedure. We are going to see him next weekend and I am going to tidy his hair for him beca...

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

I have a thin cycling balaclava which I'm wearing sometimes for Sainsbury's with the top pulled down. I am doubtful it does anything much medically but I want to be seen to be behaving like a responsible member of society. I was in Sainsburys this morning, the 1 person per trolley rule apparently n...

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread

Went to the hospital yesterday to collect my dad and take him home, was given a face mask, I really struggled to breath in it, how on earth can people wear them all day? My respect has gone right up for all those who have to wear them.

Re: Meanwhile...

Hospitals routinely blame local authorities for delayed transfers of care... ...but in my experience the majority of delays are the results of actions/inaction by hospitals themselves. The mark of a good hospital is minimal DTOCs. Hope your dad is OK! Lack of communication all round by the sound of...
