That's one thing Brexit won't put a stop to, I suppose.

Re: Very specific train question

So do I, if there are any that is, but they don't always know unless the bike space is also where the disabled space is.

Re: Very specific train question

There will be a bike sign by the doors, so if you stand in the middle of the station and watch as the train pulls up you will soon know which direction to walk in. That's what I do anyway.

Re: Movies

It gives plenty of time for the inevitable and probably unpleasant arguments about it to be played out before the film opens. If it's even true, that is.

Re: Bollocks to Brexit

That idiot Jacob Rees-Mogg has put his foot in it while trying to link England's Cricket World Cup victory to Brexit - perhaps emulating Trump's foolish call to send some US-born political opponents "home"? If only the scorn being expressed about both pronouncements would stand some chance of sticki...

Re: Movies

Bond films. I've only ever seen one (the one with Diana Rigg), as the genre doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. But if this report is true I might be curious enough to give the next-but-one version a go.

Re: Your Ride Today

I did just over a mile this morning: the significance of the journey was the first time my youngest cycled to school. Excellent! Today I saw a lad of about 13 cycling home from school with either his younger sister or his girlfriend sitting facing forward on the handlebars. It gladdened my heart! J...

Re: Meanwhile...

Blind person is involved in two marvellous disability-focused programmes, then falls off his pedestal with a popular consumer magazine one. Seemed relevant to me.

Re: Meanwhile...

I was once on a train just across the aisle from Peter White. I was sorely tempted to strike up a conversation in order to ask why, when he had done such worthwhile things on In Touch and Does He Take Sugar, he demeaned himself by lending his talents to the odious You and Yours. But I resisted. :o ...

Re: Meanwhile...

I think Lullabelle's unusual in not speaking to or photographing a person off the telly. Most people don't seem to be able to resist, as if posting an image on their social media page means the (minor) fame has rubbed off somehow. No wonder he wore sunglasses, and most likely sat stock still doing a...

Re: Posh Nosh

Your mini-tartare has reminded me have one of those pink salt slabs, and every time I see it in the kitchen I consider starting a thread about Your Most Useless Middle-Class Kitchen Purchase. It was a reduced to a couple of quid in one of those Bargain Shite Megashops and I had a sudden fancy to ea...
