Re: TV/Streaming shows

well that didn't go away, does that the participants didn't know count? ;D 😂 Caught up with this via James Corden's parents (spoiler, obviously). I'm more ok with that scenario, as it occurs in real life. Most people aren't attracted to their siblings if they were raised together, but siblings who ...

Re: Meanwhile...

I know there are different forms of love. I love some of my friends, deeply. I love my brothers, intermittently. I love avocados, unreservedly. No one is going to write "always together" about any of those. Well, maybe the avocados. These are "forsaking all others" words , no matter which kind of lo...

Re: Meanwhile...

Sometimes, though, women who decide to share their lives as friends are just that - friends. In the past I have stereotyped at least one cohabiting pair of women as lesbians in this way, and it can be embarrassing! "Always together" says love to me. I don't know the nature of their love, but I thin...

Re: Meanwhile...

I taken to reading memorial benches. This one touched me: celebrating their love while presumably sticking to the language they used.

Re: TV/Streaming shows

Emilia Clarke who plays Kalesi has had two aneurysm during production of the show. She seems to have made a good recovery.

Re: TV/Streaming shows

I'm in the middle. I watched the first 3 seasons but then decided that was enough. It's good, of course, and the opening credits are riveting, but after three seasons, I felt I'd seen enough. To me what engages me with a story are the characters, and they kept killing the characters I liked. I was l...

Re: This made me angry

It's not anger. I cried. I just wanted to share the emotion, so didn't want to start a thread about it.

I toyed with the idea of starting a thread about sadness - but ....we don't want that, do we?

(I will split the topic if the conversation deems it necessary)

Re: TV/Streaming shows

I guess I binged Bodyguard. I can recommend it, but very disappointed by final episode. People behaved outside what we have seen of their characters and did things that made no sense. The twists felt like they came from writers' room (or was there only one writer? then the writer's shed), rather tha...

You're Judi Dench :o
If I was Judi Dench, seeing my name on the side of a bus yet again would probably fill with ennui. I must be the "other one".

Re: Meanwhile...

Also it's 31% on Rotten Tomatoes and 41% on Metacritic: ie it's awful.

So definitely the sequel to Red Sonja

Re: TV/Streaming shows

BBC's Bodyguard has made it to Netflix. I know you have all seen it, but halfway through episode 2, and I am riveted. Edit: Luckily no one was online to spoil the second half of episode 2. OMG! I was ready to update this post after .... ...the sniper attack, but then it went to a whole new level. I ...

Re: Meanwhile...

I just saw my name in metre high letters on the side of a bus.

If you want to know how unusual this is for me, I have never found my name on displays of personalised key rings etc at tourist resorts.

I imagine it's a sequel to Red Sonja.
