I was cycling up the road when I saw a woman walking with a large husky-type dog on a lead. The dog was trotting daintily along the top of someone's garden wall.
I called out, 'I thought it was only kids who did that?'
She replied, 'Oh no, he always does it. He loves it.'
I wonder why though?

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread
In my adult life I haven't done much flying to go on holiday anyway, for personal life reasons, unease about climate change, and cost. But now the idea of boarding a plane and sitting in that space for a few hours in the company of a bunch of strangers just strikes me as unwise and a bit stupid. I t...

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread
Glad you have had it. I gather symptoms are generally worse after the second jab or if you have had coronavirus. Any nasty colds over 2020? That's interesting if true. Like many people I have been remarkably free of colds and minor infections for the past year, apart from February 2020 when I had a...

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread
I had the AZ vaccine yesterday; as a volunteer in the food redistribution sector I am classed as a key worker. The whole operation was very slick, and as it was early evening the vaccination centre was nigh-on deserted. They give you a card to carry with details of what you had, which you need to pr...
Re: E-bikes
I have been looking around, without much success - all the hybrids seem to have suspension forks, which I don't want, and all the lighter 'road' styled frames won't take a rack, which I do want. No one seems to have any stock at the moment anyway. So I preordered a Swytch kit, to convert my existing...

Anyone going to do the clap at 6pm tonight? Personally I think Boris can fuck off with his pointless distractions.

It seems positive nonchalant. She carried it 'to make [climbing the stairs] more difficult' so I'm guessing she knew the cat wouldn't be any help.

I prefer this 11-year-old's inspiring stair-climbing feat to raise money for a foodbank:

Re: This made me laugh.....
More of a rueful laugh really - this from some person on Twitter: "My tenant who rents my guest house told his friends to break into my house. They broke a bunch of shit but thankfully weren't successful in occupying it, and I got out in time. His lease is up on January 20th anyway, so should I let ...

Re: This made me laugh.....
Woman's Hour just made me laugh, but not in a good way, cutting short a really interesting interview with Gail Bradbrook, cofounder of Extinction Rebellion, because it was time for a feature called Make-Up For Men and interviewing the man who has founded a man-slap company called War Paint.
