Re: Likes?

I like getting them, I don't like not getting them. In saying that I don't always get the notifications so it probably evens itself out.

Re: Meanwhile...

Inline skating......my friend Gaby from Zurich was world champion in 2000 and 2003. She's fearless on them......getting up to speeds of 50mph downhill. She can also skate backwards down a flight of steps. I've gone down a flight of steps backwards on a skateboard, well, when I say "on" a skateboard...

I had planned to do them (in a honey and gin marinade) with Parmentier potatoes... ...except I’ve just thrown the half cooked Parmentier potatoes all over the kitchen floor. >:( So it’s back to Steamed Anya potatoes with lo...

I used to work with a fella with the surname King, his parents had been thoughtful enough to call him Wayne.

Re: Toys!!!!!

Petrol? Yeah. The log splitter is really good for making kindling too if you can get someone to give you a hand. Pallet slats precut to the right length can be really quickly nibbled through, you can have a good bag full in no time. You may have done it already so forgive me if that's a bit of an e...

Re: Toys!!!!!

We are soon to have some very posh smart thermostats on every radiator all controlled by apps. But nothing beats an open fire. You stick with it Marky, when we go back to the dark ages from April 2019 these people with their new fangled central heating will be banging on our doors wanting to sit by...

Re: A balloon biking attempt

This is what I'm lusting after but Mr R would not be happy: https://trek.scene7.com/is/image/TrekBicycleProducts/1120_22005_A_Portrait?wid=1360&hei=1020&fmt=pjpeg&qlt=40,1&iccEmbed=0&cache=on,on Trek 1120. I'm not surprised, that rear seat looks hideously uncomfortable and the front carrier would b...

Re: Your Ride Today

Built a block wall on Sunday, woke up with the alarm on Monday and my back was in bits so decided I'd best not aggravate it on the bike. Up at 6 this morning to make sure I could get out and get a proper ride in before work and it's bloody foggy!! I'll ride in anything except fog, so I'm sat here in...

Why did they declare article 50 in March? There's going to be precious little to forage by then.
It’s a genuine concern, I’m going to have to live on kale for months.

Re: Meanwhile...

I went blackberry picking tonight with my wife, I like to think of it as practice for a no deal Brexit.
