Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread
I’m feeling fairly rotten this morning, having kept myself awake most of the night coughing (you’d think I was back on 40 fags a day) and I’ve got a constant headache (despite regular paracetamol) – and tinnitus which keeps coming and going.

I've been invited to get my booster shot! Thanks for volunteering for the study, @Regulator. Have you found out what you got? I'm waiting for confirmation from the study. They're in the process of writing to us. If we're called for a shot we've been asked to decline it but take any 'flu shot offere...

The placebo in these test is the meningitis vaccine as well. If the government decide to roll out booster jabs in the autumn, which looks l...

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread
Any updates? I had the jab last Thursday. Overall, the registration process took about two hours, with extensive health questionnaires and a long video taking you through the process. I'll either have got a placebo or one of six Covid vaccines (as they make sure the booster is different from the va...

Re: Meanwhile...
A Tory Party canvasser just called at the door. I think he might be regretting that decision, as I made my views bluntly clear.

Prince Phillip Anecdote.... When I were a wee boy we lived in America for a couple of years. He was doing a tour presumably near to where we lived and so of course we visited. He patted me on the head and said to my parents "He is very brown isn't he?"* * For context I'm not black but tan very easi...

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread
I had my second jab of AZ yesterday and I woke up this morning with a slightly achey arm, which I’m hoping is a sign that an immune response is being invoked.

Re: Covid-19 Pandemic Thread
For those of you with travel booked, may I ask, is your criterion "as long as the government rules allow it, we're going", or are you going to be applying an extra criterion of your own assessment of risk?
