Re: Meanwhile...
I’ve just descaled the coffee machine. I think I’ll now have a lie down for a couple of hours.

I went blackberry picking tonight with my wife, I like to think of it as practice for a no deal Brexit.

Why did they declare article 50 in March? There's going to be precious little to forage by then.Sonic Budgie wrote: ↑7 years agoI went blackberry picking tonight with my wife, I like to think of it as practice for a no deal Brexit.

Re: Meanwhile...
It appears to be cheese club again tonight. Oh dear, I guess I will have to grin and bear it.

Yesterday we had a smart meter fitted. It appears that today we have used 82p of electricity..........probably all of it on running the new smart meter.

My smart meter reader lasted two days before I switched it off and put it in a drawer.

I went to That London today, to have a look at the exhibition in Westminster Hall about women in parliament. Had a tour round the Houses of Parliament as well while I was there, as I've never seen it. Very impressive, and the exhibition is a small but really interesting and inspiring collection of items and documents of women's history. On the way back to Victoria I had a look at Westminster Cathedral (or Jeremy Corbyn's Mosque as some people like to think of it), a twentieth-century brick edifice partially clad inside with more marble than you could shake a stick at - you can go up the tower in the lift and look out over London's skyline for a couple of quid.
