I'll start:

I've never seen a second of Bake Off.

Or Dowton Abbey: I saw the ad on a bus, and if I had to guess, I would have assumed it was a broad comedy probably starring Harry Enfield.

Sticking with TV, I've never seen an episode of Coronation Street.

Oh, thank God. SB's post made me reflect: I arrived here in '99 and stopped watching broadcast TV about 5 years ago. I suddenly worried that I would feel impelled to reply to each response: me neither.

But I did watch the first season of GoT, and maybe second. And I can tell you: good choice.
dull discussion of superficial plot points, with spoilers
Show
It has some value, but that does not out weigh what is wrong with it. Too much incest, too much rape and they keep killing the likeable characters. The first season executed the only character I liked, but I tried to stay with it. I came to like a few other characters, but then there was a massacre, and I was happy to see that none of the surving characters I gave a shit about, so I walked away.

We both get nothing ftom watching tv shows or films that have violence, conflict or people argueing. I can't understand how people get pleasure from watching misery which is why I avoid Eastrnders completely.

I've never eaten a Pot Noodle. I just don't fancy them somehow.

I've never had a pot noodle, but I have had instant ramen.

And indeed incorporated instant ramen into a quick and healthy miso soup, with plenty of fresh veggies and a handful of prawns.

Full support on not watching EastEnders. When it came to Oz, it was just depressing Neighbours, where it's always overcast and everyone is ugly.

But not watching shows/fillums with conflict? What does that leave? Bake Off and Koyaanisqatsi?

I have never seen a single episode of....

Peaky Blinders
Downton Abby
Emmerdale Farm

But I have watched all of GoT and enjoy the occasional Pot Noodle.

I started reading this and thought we might be related...

...but then I got to "...enjoy the occasional Pot Noodle". :o

I thought the first series of Peaky Blinders was really good - original and attention-grabbing. Unfortunately, like most good ideas, it then got stretched waffffer-thin in order to keep the brand going beyond its natural capacity, became a silly melodrama, and I gave up on it.

That annoyingly often happens, so it is great when writers occasionally refuse the money and say; no the idea has run its course, Fleabag being the most recent example.

Confession:

I've never had a Greek beer, and until 5 minutes ago, I couldn't have named one.

(google wasn't the best help with understanding this; it suggested what you hit was a 2017 Novel by Stephen Fry)

You're not missing anything, it's cold and it's wet and that will do.
