We went to the seaside today... any visit to Southwold inevitably includes a trip to Adnams (whose shop and cafe is dog friendly).

Jon and I are now relaxing with an Orange & Sea Buckthorn G&T. A very nice limited edition from Adnams.

I trust you had a go on the quantum tunnelling telescope.

Does he need someone to massage his aching muscles? 😇

I think that @Rocky will take it in the humorous manner intended.

Ha ha ha!! I'll ask.

He stayed in an AirBnB apartment in Shoreham on the Saturday night. He forgot his tooth paste and had a look in the cupboard in the bathroom to see if a previous guest had left a tube. He didn't find any but did find a bottle, supposedly of aftershave, with a webcam on its top. Now that's creepy.

He's reported the owner to AirBnB.

I can assure you I do not own an AirBnB in Shoreham.

That does appear to be something of an increasing issue though. I’ve seen several reports of AirBnBers finding hidden cameras - including in showers/toilets - and reporting them to AirBnB, who seemed reluctant to do anything.

He should have reported them to the police. They need a criminal record.

Last essay for the term has gone in, no more uni till next term. That went fast.

Has anyone got any recommendations of starter books for level 5 writing? Did your son get any rocky? It’s a step up for me so I’d like to learn what I can while I’m not working on any assignments.

Well done on the submission!!

Gravel never had any formal writing training but was coached by his mum (bless him).....the Prof can be pretty vicious in her feedback - it’s a wonder he’s still talking to us. I’d recommend the Economist Style Guide (if it’s still in print). It’s a really nice short booklet. @Rutabaga and @The Real Ravenhurst are probably better placed than me to offer advice
