Meanwhile...
Re: Meanwhile...
I've voted.
There was one lonely FibDem teller outside the polling station and he was getting short shrift from quite a few people. The staff inside were saying they'd been quite busy.
Two neighbours have reported being turned away from the polling station. They're EU nationals, both registered and both voted 3 weeks ago in the local elections but apparently weren't asked to complete the additional form that EU nationals have to complete (more gerrymandering by the Maybot and the Brexshiteers).
It appears disenfranchised EU nationals is something of a trend across the country:

Re: Meanwhile...
Home and voted.
I was the only one anywhere near the polling station, and the register didn't have that many names crossed through.
Still, whatever the outcome I did my bit.

Re: Meanwhile...
When I got the polling place at 7:30 this morning there had already been a fair few coming through, and there were about as many in as I'd expect for a general election. I came past again at 8 this evening and it was busy.
In the referendum this constituency was roughly 55-45 remain.

Re: Meanwhile...
Polling station practically deserted at rush hour last night.
60 / 40 Leave constituency. Not sure what it means though.

It wouldn't entirely surprise me if one response to the surge in vocal support for Farage is a rise in the propensity of pro Europeans to vote.
My area doesn't appear to be counting until Sunday.

Re: Meanwhile...
Most parts of the UK aren't counting until Sunday, according to my Returning Officer friend. Results can't be announced until Sunday anyway, as other parts of the EU are voting today and tomorrow.Iris wrote: ↑5 years agohttp://www2.politicalbetting.com/index. ... yesterday/

Re: Meanwhile...
My inner 8 year old is stamping her feet in frustration. A large section of Kingston Upon Thames was cordoned off today, while the army was dealing with 250 kg of WWII ordnance found in a building site. It was destroyed in a window rattling controlled explosion which I missed, sipping coffee in the far end of Surbiton Waitrose.
