I've got to say, this was a bit worrying
Meanwhile...
Re: Meanwhile...
It's actually a bit weird. It doesn't say the food on the device, but it's almost universally used everywhere else. Specs of my device say the OS is either "Oreo" or "Oreo 8.0"
If you are curious, 8.x is Orea, 9.x is Pie. Q will be the next release, and presumably 10.x, but earlier names did not always coincide with incrementing the major version number. That pattern has only been true since Lollipop (5.x). Eg Éclair, Donut, and Froyo were all 2.x.

Got it, so I'm using Nougat, this makes me happy because I don't like oreos anyway.

Re: Meanwhile...
Half an hour into the flight, the dreaded announcement...
“Is there a doctor on this flight?”
He looked round rather desperately, hoping there just happened to be a few world renowned trauma specialists who just by coincidence had been in Jerez for a conference - but no such luck. Luckily (for the patient more than anything) it was only a diabetic who hadn’t eaten properly.

Re: Meanwhile...
For an unsurpassed "doctor on a plane" anecdote, try googling Professor Angus Wallace. He and a colleague operated onboard on a pneumothorax with a wire coat-hanger sterilised in Courvoisier from the galley; it's a great story. He was the surgeon who sorted out a long-term orthopaedic problem for me, when no one else would (not on a plane though).
