Rather than lazing around in paradise like some I have fitted a new electric shower this morning. I am looking forward to tomorrow, we are going to an air display at Old Warden, I've not been to the Shuttleworth Collection since I was a kid so I'm more excited than I should be. Here's hoping that the wind stays calm so they can fly the Edwardians in the evening.
No. It was hovering. It must have been doing some sort of surveillance. Kind of creepy now I think about it. It must have got special permission to be there as we must be restricted airspace as we are one of the two approaches to Heathrow. Planes were not overhead when the chopper was there.
As there was no spotlight, they must have been using IR. The foxes and I would have been lighting up their goggles.
Although that seems to be daytime and I don't know the route
Just to be clear, the Chinook was overhead around 11pm last Friday - 24th. It would be on a direct route from Battersea to Heathrow, but that doesn't explain it just hovering over the church.
Then the long-standing community members all get shouty on FB about being woken up.
I doubt any resident inside even noticed the noise. With a plane every minute or so for 9 hours a day, another engine noise would not have raised an eyebrow.
Australian stubbies - blond or bitter. Not really my favourite but it quenches the thirst.
Stubbies are - despite the names - mostly lagers. think I had pretty well always had a lager when I had a beer before moving the the land of blood temperature ales.
But I still like a VB or MB when I have really earned it.

Looks terrible, I bet it is freezing cold too.
I know it's best to keep the Prof away from Trump, but shepherding her to the other side of the planet is a bit extreme.
