So I messenged a few seconds of it to a friend I had seen them with back in the day.
I walked down (ahem) Dukes Head Passage and was only a few metres from the stage, albeit with a 8 foot fence in between. Still, it may have been better than being inside because it #40 cheaper, and I could imagine Martin Fry was still a sulky, floppy haired young man. Oh, and I could really dance like no one was watching.

Is the grey one called Archie or is he a LotR's wizard, Archie the Grey One?

This comes from this week's Cycling UK weekly email. I find myself prey to two strongly conflicting emotions. One is an intense distaste for people who find fault with other people's grammar or spelling (grammarnazis! elitism and classism!) The other, which is clearly winning at the moment, is my delight at finding anything with which to find fault with CUK ("it wouldn't have happened in Chris Juden's day...")
