This is very sad news, when the best deli in the country can't trade there must be something very wrong.

https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news ... ds-2388891

This could also mean the end of cheese club.

It says something when a quality business situated not 50 yards from the Richard III museum and Cathederal, in an area that has had millions spent redeveloping it, can't survive. Perhaps Amazon, Greggs and Starbucks is all we deserve.

Absolutely - but their Northampton shop can!! We've just spent a week in Hawes and it makes me sad to see the local shops closing there. The life and soul of these places is slowly being sucked away. I'm guessing massive increases in business rates plays a major role - I know how much local authorities are struggling with their finances.

For the record (!!!) I'm pleased the cheese club is still alive and kicking :)

First weigh in of the new year....

... 11lbs off this week. I think it's my liver shrinking as I'm doing dry January.

I haven't touched booze since early morning New Years Day.

Youtube claims I have turned off personalised ads. You could have fooled me:

(also it thinks I'm in Quebec)

(also also I want to go to Ehime)

I've just finished watching all 3 seasons of Uncle again. Excellent TV that went almost completely unnoticed.

We have just started (re)watching the first series of Outnumbered and almost wet ourselves laughing. I think we are enjoying it even more for being that bit more distant ourselves from that experience now.

I'm about halfway through the third series, and feel it's lost it's way rather. I will get it finished but I think they need to buck up their idea for the fourth series. The first two were excellent!
