First unread post

Am I missing a setting as in the Other Place whenever I clicked on a thread it jumped to the first unread post? Here it always takes me to the OP and frankly it’s bad enough reading the drivel you guys write once but twice is unbearable.

Click on the icon down the left hand side. If it is red, it will take you to first unread post. If it's not, that means that there are no unread posts, and it won't do anything.
