London, or Croydon, to Brighton with the veteran cars 04/11/18

One for lovers of old machinery and choking air. Meet with Topcat at HPC 07:30 or East Croydon station main exit at 08:45. Elevenses at Aforgato in Crawley if still open, which is sadly in doubt.
Trains are scheduled to be running between Brighton and East Croydon that day.

Hope to be there, unless the weather's bad. It's a bit of an early start though !

I met the small but elite gang in Crawley, where we found a new and satisfactory brunch venue. Weather dry, but stiff headwind. The traffic seemed heavier than in previous years - we always remark how people come out in their cars to do the drive with the Veterans, clogging up the roads and getting in their way in the process. I also always think it's a bit of a strange thing for cyclists to be supporting; the beginning of the godawful mess that is the road system today.
