Your Ride Today
Re: Your Ride Today
I am seem to be driven this weekend. Or I was. I repeated yesterday's performance nearly exactly, this time by the simpler expedient of getting on my bike and riding.
This will be the most cycling I have done in one weekend in years. I got home and inhaled any food I found lying about the kitchen, then made myself dinner.

Re: Your Ride Today
One way trip to Guildford. Pleasant day and avoided all but a few drops of rain. Pushed it for me. Thought 42km was a long way, but then I realised that's only true if you are running a marathon.

Notes
- Many, many pheasants. Could be having a road kill supper.
- I smile every time I go through Ockham. It's my favourite razor.
- Guildford always makes me think of HHGttG
- Alert readers will notice I forgot to turn off tracking until after the train left the station.
- I hate South West Railways (or whatever the franchise is currently called.

Sections of that ride are home territory for me. Some of my summer commute variants took me up that hill from Cobham to Ockham, sometimes then cutting across Wisley Airfield. It's still on one route to RHS Wisley, an increasing haunt in retirement. The Black Swan is an occasional lunch or coffee stop.

Please ignore the pace/average speed as I can't find the autopause function in Endomondo, and there were several long coffee breaks involve.

Same caveats as before. You will see a steep decrease in my maximum speed - I think I haven't been eating enough protein...

At some point, I am obviously only doing this for the likes....
I seem to have fallen into a pattern of similar longish rides on weekend. As it's a healthy pattern, I won't undermine it. Mixing things up by

Re: Your Ride Today
What was basically a functional ride along the river on the Brompton from the room I was staying in last night back to the Park and Ride turned into one of those rare moments when you accidentally hit perfect beauty and seem to enter a different world:

Re: Your Ride Today
Having had my annual shower, which apparently I did need, I am going to get dressed. If this doesn't stimulate the appropriate festive feeling, I shall return to bed
