@Regulator do you (or anyone else) have any knowledge of the area? The CTC (CUK) Birthday Rides are going to be based at Wybaston Lakes this year, but on maps it looks to be right by a big main road and access to the site looks horrendous (although the organisers do always find ways round difficulties, it seems).
I rode from Royston to Cambridge last year, and thought the little lanes were lovely but the main roads in the area were almost all fast, busy, and a bit intimidating. I usually do the Birthday Rides as I meet up with friends there that I don't see any other time (they live oop north), but I'm keeping an open mind on whether to go this year.
Cycling routes around St Neots?
Re: Cycling routes around St Neots?
There are some really nice routes around St Neots - but you’re right.... Wybaston Lakes is somewhat boxed in by major roads (which are the subject of significant road works). You can get to nice places from there - but it will mean either crossing the main roads or taking some long diversions.
