The BBC had it billed as 'kicked off by a fellow cyclist'. I note that they don't refer to hit and run crashes being down to fellow drivers.
In this case nobody currently knows what lead up to this incident, and I am not going to speculate, as I am sure many others are in other places.

I normally tune off at arguments about how the press talks about cyclists who commit crimes.
But "fellow" is bad. It suggests it's somehow not a real crime. That's not good.
