These two books look interesting, particularly the first one about 1919's Circuit des Champs de Bataille, in which cyclists raced around muddy WWI battlefields. Has anyone else never heard of that?

They look good,thanks. Cycling round muddy battlefields puts me in mind of the excellent biography of Fausto Coppi by William Fotheringham where he describes racing and training on bomb damaged country roads in Italy post WW2.
