I had a test ride on a Kalkhoff Sahel 3 a couple of weeks ago, after trying the eKatu at the London Cycle Show.
The Kalkhoff Sahel 3 is about £100 cheaper than the Katu-e 20 equivalent and has a much better range. The only real difference is hydraulic rim brakes -v- disc brakes and a front basket -v- a rear rack. I ended up with the same silly grin on my face at the end of the test ride on both of them.
I know I don’t *need* an electric bike but I do want a 20” wheeled bike and I will be getting a bonus paid this month... so I am very tempted. N+1 fever.
I even like the fluorescent yellow/green colour of the Sahel 3.

Re: Kalkhoff Sahel 3.i Move
What does Mr R say? I like the fluorescent green colour but couldn’t justify getting another bike yet........that’s the trouble with downsizing our living arrangements - there’s fewer places to hide bikes from the Prof.

As usual, he is failing entirely to understand the n+1 imperative.
That said, I may dispose of my Pinnacle Arkose gravel bike. It's not had huge mileage and has been somewhat supplanted by the Genesis Longitude. I may even get round to divorcing Ting Tong...

New bike ordered! I shall pick it up next week when I'm back from the boat.

Least subtle e-doping ever.
Enjoy!

My bike is ready to pick up. It’ll be Wednesday or Thursday before I can get my hands on it though.

I got the bike yesterday. I’m just waiting for a new saddle to arrive and then I’ll get some photos of her in action.
