I didn't have an email but I'm guessing that's cos I didn't tick the box for email updates.

That has worked for me, thus far.

There's a tweet from someone involved with the petition who claims that the government asked for some testing of the system at the exact time when the number of signatures exploded, and that it was the testing that crashed the system.

Yes please, could you forward the one in the name of Vladimir Mikhailov?

Linky?

I've worked on a project with Unboxed, and they were diligent in having a test system. It's worrying to believe they were running tests against a production system under test stress.

I'd be ruddy astounded. Then again, nothing much surprises me any more!

I've just blocked BBC Today programme from my Twitter timeline. I know I need to get out of my echo chamber and I do. It's just that John Humphrys is adding 30 points to my blood pressure reading and I need to do this for my health.

I dumped twitter all together at Christmas and all the effects were positive.

It seems to be an article of faith that an echo chamber is a bad thing. Why? I prefer to spend time with people I like, and often the reason I like them is because of some commonality with regard to interests and beliefs. In any case, if I want to listen to racist brexiters and read the Daily Mail, all I have to do is visit my family ;)
