This is the bit I don't get. Farage got most of his seats just by transfering the UKIP vote but the BBC never refer to that. Also, here is the BBC chart from their website showing that the vote for declared remain parties far outstripped the vote for the declared hard exit parties.

My watching of the BBC today leaves me with the impression that they are more taking glee in the kicking the two main parties got than in what the raw numbers reflect.

There’s a very knowledgable man on CC with the initials PR. I’m sure he can help.

So, a question that we were discussing in our house yesterday. What is our objective? Is it to win (Britain remains in EU) with the other side losing? And their objective is to win with us losing? So either way a fight to the finish with roughly half the country losing? Or is there an objective to work for that is better than that?

There is a better way but It might not be achievable though. It results in us remaining, with the number of people who feel that they have lost being way less than half.

That's not true. I know the answer: it's no,unless you have a time machine to go back 3 months.

And if you have a time machine, I think we can put it to better use.

Travelling back in time to castrate Stanley Johnson, William Rees-Mogg, Ian Cameron and Guy Farage?

That's not how it's usually done.

There's an old time travel movie you won't have seen, that has a throw away line something like "You can't change the future. We went back and killed baby Strasser, and then this Hitler guy appeared and did exactly the same thing."

Maybe the best we could do is take pre-election Cameron forward to the day after the Election, and show him how strong his victory was. Then take him to the day after the referendum.

Excellent news! I did think pressure might be brought to bear on the District Judge not to issue the summons.

It does potentially put the kaibosh on his bid for the Tory leadership...
