Shouldn't that be Beg, Extend, Riot?
Yes, that was the version in the Times. I was being a bit more optimistic.

Boris currently on tenterhooks for its [inevitable] rejection.

I'm having fun with the Led By Donkeys 'Get Ready' poster generator...
I'll probably get 'Where's your sense of humour love?' comments, but I thought the great strength of Led By Donkeys' campaigns was that every word of them was a real quote, no matter how incredible. I'm very disappointed that they've joined the fake news world, it weakens them massively.

What do you think their campaigns achieved?

In real terms I have no idea, of course. But their crowdfunder was for 'an honest no deal brexit ad campaign', and I contributed on the basis that LBD could be trusted to tell the truth, in a witty petard-hoisting tone of voice. I feel this latest silly prank undermines that.

I enjoyed the billboard campaigns for the same reasons, but it's difficult to discern any impact beyond confirming the views of those who opposes the targets of the ads.

What ‘fake news’ is that then?

We can only hope that, in an entrenched world, some people might look at those billboards and realise that they were being mugged off. Expecting them to say so publicly is a bit of a reach but, in the event of another referendum, perhaps they might change vote.

It's nothing to do with 'fake news' (you might want to dial down your inner Donald Trump) - it's a bit of a fun competition.

It may be just a bit of fun but it does dilute and undermine the validity of the genuine quotes.

How does it do that? Have LBD actually put any of them up on a billboard?

This is also about taking the mickey out of the Government's campaign, using the Government's style, which is very different from asking people to use LBDs very recognisable billboard style to come up with 'fake' quotes.

That's my hope, the ballot box epiphany.

My fear is this...

1. Boris submits plan that he knows will fail.
2. Parliament votes through Benn Amendment
3. BREXIT gets delayed.
4. GE called / No confidence
5. Boris whips up a storm blaming the EU and Parliament
6. The Gammon become motivated.
7. Boris wins
