I'll probably get 'Where's your sense of humour love?' comments, but I thought the great strength of Led By Donkeys' campaigns was that every word of them was a real quote, no matter how incredible. I'm very disappointed that they've joined the fake news world, it weakens them massively.

In real terms I have no idea, of course. But their crowdfunder was for 'an honest no deal brexit ad campaign', and I contributed on the basis that LBD could be trusted to tell the truth, in a witty petard-hoisting tone of voice. I feel this latest silly prank undermines that.

We can only hope that, in an entrenched world, some people might look at those billboards and realise that they were being mugged off. Expecting them to say so publicly is a bit of a reach but, in the event of another referendum, perhaps they might change vote.
