It probably is the case, that people will only realise what they get from Europe when they donβt have it anymore. Unfortunately they will probably blame Europe, for being nasty and vindictive, rather than learn any lessons.
I think Iβve become a pessimist.

I have just thought of a benefit of leaving at 23:00 GMT. People who go to the celebration in parliament Square stand a chance of making the last train back to their bit of the home counties.

I was so confused
after googling, trying to understand why boris was considering raising half a million to make a bong in the shape of Big Ben, and how everyone would get a toke, and anyway, isn't dope still illegal?

Yup, I seem to have missed the news for a day or 2.
That would be almost as stupid as raising half a million to install a temporary floor up a tower and delay renovations just to be able to ring a bell that everyone knows the sound of anyway on a day that nothing physically changes.
