There is a village near Hinckley that has over sized poppies strapped to every streetlamp and telegraph pole. The green is littered with little wooden crosses, and they have broken out the Union flag bunting.
I always thought that the whole point of the comemoration was about personal remembrance and reflection, some seem to believe it is about showing off that you care more than others.

Bugger, the pornpedallers have deleted their tweet, you'll have to ask what the third hashtag was now, although I dare say it's archived somewhere.
Did you find out what the significance of the cat is?
I can guess. It's sort of squinting, so looks a bit like a ching chong chinaman
Please excuse the racist language, I'm trying to mind meld with my acquaintance. Also, pretty well undermining any argument argument I have made that Australia isn't racist.

So, just for the complete story...she posted racist meme, I responded with images above. Then she went to a messenger chat group made up of a dozen women I was at school with and a couple of husbands...where we have been planning a virtual cocktail party for Friday..
