Let's not forget Gove on LBC starting to say that he'd driven to test his eyesight, then realising mid-sentence that he was lying. Worth a watch.

That’s what happens when you get used to lying, Sometimes, as the lie is half way out, You realise you can’t say it convincingly.Mister Paul wrote: ↑4 years agoLet's not forget Gove on LBC starting to say that he'd driven to test his eyesight, then realising mid-sentence that he was lying. This whole thing is ballsy, it's mystifying. I stayed in lockdown because I might have covid. It was unlikely, but I might. He left lockdown because he definitely had it. He exposed a lot of people to it. He (claims that he) went to an optometrist when he should have been in quarantine, which is exactly what we are are explicitly told not to do. I think of my poor neighbour who clearly had it, but couldn't get a test because she couldn't work out how to do it without exposing someone to the virus.
It's so wrong, how can they even think for a moment that it's defensible?
And then this artless and unnecessary lie about predicting coronavirus. It's mind boggling.
Sorry, you guys get my confused rants because otherwise I would have to post them to Facebook.

I guess because it starts small and they get away with it and "we" do nothing and they get worse and worse until its beyond reason.Joan wrote: ↑4 years agoThis whole thing is ballsy, it's mystifying. I reckon he panicked because it seemed he was going to get lumbered with the childcare, and he is much too important to be weighed down by women's work.
Nothing is going to happen to any of them, no matter what they do, because they have been given such a huge mandate by the people who voted for them (anyone know anyone who did and is prepared to admit it?) aided by our flawed electoral system. Frightening times.

Apparently Brewdog have a new offering called Barnard Castle Eye Test. All profits go towards their production of free hand sanitisers for NHS staff.

Went to the hospital yesterday to collect my dad and take him home, was given a face mask, I really struggled to breath in it, how on earth can people wear them all day? My respect has gone right up for all those who have to wear them.

Glad he's home. You must be relieved.
Was it an n95 mask? Only face mask I have tried is my homemade nonsense.

I have a thin cycling balaclava which I'm wearing sometimes for Sainsbury's with the top pulled down. I am doubtful it does anything much medically but I want to be seen to be behaving like a responsible member of society.

I was in Sainsburys this morning, the 1 person per trolley rule apparently no longer applies, nor does the 2m apart rule.
