I will be having AZ no2 this coming Thursday, hoping I don't feel as rough afterwards as I did last time.

I'm all Astra-Zeneca-ed up and feeling invincible.
I would recommend taking some precautionary paracetamol at bed time, or at least having some to hand.

OK thanks for the tip. Nowt to report so far except achiness of the limbs, but I have the fizzy co-codamol on standby!

Don't take pain killers prophylactically before or after a vaccine. There is some evidence that it may interfere with the immune response.

How is the arm today?

Not bad thanks. Arm aches, slight headache, not much energy. That's about it so far.

I've gather first AZ is usually worse, and 2nd Pfizer.

I have no data on Moderna.

To be honest I've heard theories that cover just about every combination of outcomes, so I reckon it will just be what it will be.

I have uninstalled the Zoe app and no longer supply any data to that study, because Tin Spector has publicly espoused, with the implicit authority of the Zoe study, several political rather than purely scientific positions that I think are misguided.

That's interesting. And disappointing.

Doesn't invalidate the data, though, which is why I was posting it.

Do you have links to what he is saying?

I probably won't uninstall, as I have logged quite a lot of data in it.

I guess I could just save a screenshot....

Soooooo, Portugal holiday still on the cards for mid-July. We'll both be doublevaccined by then, though Boy1 (19) and Boy2 (16) won't. Easyjet are advertising tests for £60 a pop.

What do you reckon? We can still cancel. Go for it? Anyone think that they'll drop the testing requirement to lateral flow? Am I bragging?

I was called selfish recently by keeping our booking to Greece open (28th June), that same person had broken (by my reckoning) at least 5 Coronavirus laws (going to Wales etc) that very day!

Anyhoo, we too will be double vaccinated and if the tests are going to come down to a reasonable cost then its definitely still on if allowed. So its a 'go for it' from me.
