I am actually going to do a variant of this. Pavlova should be served soon after it is assembled, and after reading the suggestion I think I will just spread the cream accompany it with bowls of various topping alternatives and let people dress their own slices. I'll be using some the suggestions above.

Individual diy pavlovas are an excellent idea, I might try that next time I'm organising a gathering.

Individual pavlovas are risky. They might accidentally turn into dry, amazing, explosive meringue, suitable only for snacking or Eton mess. Pavs need a marshmallowy core.

For the record, the bowls contain crushed hazelnut, grated chocolate and Craisins™. The blue bowl has passionfruit pulp. Some assembly required.

It turned out to be the best way. The intention was to either use passion fruit or the other 3 together (thanks for the inspiration upthread). I had one slice of each. He only put chocolate on and was very happy. She piled all three four on both slices and was equally happy.

I deliberately made a huge pavlova, and having half left I think made them the happiest.

I felt a little regretful leaving the pav with them. Damn I wanted a slice today.

On the other hand, I used leftovers of about 150 ml of double cream, and most of 100g of chocolate to make ganache.

Or to tell the bullemic truth: I microwaved the left over cream, and stirred the leftover chocolate into it, waited for it to cool and set - then ate it off a spoon.

Sadly, I blinked in the face of danger; when it said leave it on for 20-30 minutes I wimped out and only did 20. It's not as startling as I hoped.

OK, 2nd try with the rest of the packet. 40 minutes this time.
Better, I think, but not quite there.

Not hide, celebrate it!

We can skip the damaging bleaching that those young enough to be cursed by melanin have to endure for vivid colour.

Grey hair doesn't take colour at all well, and it doesn't hold it as long as other colours of hair either. DAHIKT
