I haven't been drinking so much lately, not least because I've been laid low with one cold/cough virus after another. After a couple of days of Not Going Out At All, I have ventured to Aldi and treated myself to a small beer to celebrate feeling much better. :)

The split, says one brewery chief, is so acrimonious that he fears going on the record with his dissent. “There will be a huge amount of unpleasant invective and attempts to damage my business,” he said. “This does not normally happen in the beer industry. This is different.”

Sounds very unsavoury, to me.

Bottles of this being sold off for £1 at the garden centre today before it goes out of date. It's not bad, rather caramelly. Is 'Red Ale' a good name for something intended for export to Russia though?
