I assumed that they would be camped out overnight outside the breeder's house.
Meanwhile...

Re: Meanwhile...
I am going to give twitter a break for a while, too much anger and negativity. I block people but others crawl out of the woodwork and it is getting to me so giving it a break for a while.
I have done my chores and am now thinking about lunch.

Re: Meanwhile...
How was he last night? Two of my colleagues have puppies, 1 before Christmas and the other after, both have issues with them crying at night (if I had to live in either house I would probably cry too)
Did Basil settle ok or did he cry?

We put his crate by the bed and popped him in, he cried twice to wake us for a wee and that was that! Into bed with us around 6am after another wee :-)

Re: Meanwhile...
I want nice nails for our holiday so last week I went to a salon to have my nails painted, it is like gel and protects the nail whilst it grows, I go next week to have the colour removed and a new colour put on when shaped. My nails are a bit longer than I would normally have them and it is making typing difficult as I keep pressing the wrong letter by accident.

Re: Meanwhile...
Last week was a bit of a faff, as the father-out-law was having issues with his hips/pelvis and getting nowhere with the NHS. I managed to get him a same day appointment with a consultant at one of our hospitals. He then needed an MRI and various blood tests. Given his history of cancer there was some concern about the presentation.
He had the results today. Good news and bad. No 'nasty surprises' but it turns out he's managed to crack part of his pelvis - probably in part due to weakening of the bone due to previous radiotherapy. He's likely to need a minor procedure next week but other than that there's little that can be done besides using crutches to take weight off the joint and rest until it eventually heals.
Unfortunately, he can't drive at the moment and the MoL doesn't drive. Jon's nurse is on leave at the moment, which makes it hard for him to get time off, so it's fallen to me to chauffeur FoL to hospital appointments (including one on Saturday, which is why I had to cancel the Piec-nic), etc.
