Soap is best, because its lipids break down the protective layer of the virus. But anything sold as 'beauty bar' or similar (e.g., Dove) is not soap, but detergent.

It's like a scene from Dad's Army.

Confession: I used to stop for a "free" coffee at Waitrose while cycling. Since I started IF I haven't needed a snack, and I don't want to lug home a bulky staple, so I had to find something portable, with a long shelf life, not too expensive that I will definitely eat.

I may have gone too far, but I have a week's survival ration right there, if the worst happens.
I fell at the first hurdle....

🤯 😱

I believe that there is a scene in Three Men In A Boat relevant to your position.

My memory played me up - this is in fact about tins of cat food not sardines. But it's still worth trotting out...

Does this

seem like a sensible thing to have as a Special buy promotion right now?

Yeah, actually. If they can draw all panic buyers, there may be some available on the High Street when I need another 4 pack sometime next week.

Or, apparently, I may decide to get a set of rattan storage boxes instead🤪

They look a bit rubbish, apart from anything else; the cardboard roll looks huge. My recent research has concluded that Coop own-brand ones are the best for paper-to-cardboard-roll proportions - even better than A*drex. :D
