Anyway enjoying our first full day here, the Fiji Gold is cold and the locals are wonderful. I may have accidentally booked a dive trip for tomorrow.

We are the only Brits here, it's mainly Auzzies with a few Yanks. Being a marina resort there are a number of Yachties here (well owners of big plastic tubs) and they are without exception absolute nobbers who keep themselves perminantly drunk and talking loudly about the size if their aquatic caravans.

Meanwhile, because we have travelled so far and are the only ones to arrive by helicopter everyone seems to think we must be loaded. We are playing it quiet.

I am pleased to report that I have seen no plastic in the water so far, unlike Borneo which was a mess.
