I'm about halfway through the third series, and feel it's lost it's way rather. I will get it finished but I think they need to buck up their idea for the fourth series. The first two were excellent!
I know what you mean which is why im impressed they have gotten this far and kept the story going. The latest episode was very good which made me comment

Are you halfway through what is on Netflix now or are you caught up?

I got the DVDs of the first series, but I couldn't get into it at all unfortunately.

I remember you saying you were going to get them. What I found was that it took a few episodes before I got past a general "Meh, it's ok, I'll keep going" to an "Ah, now I get it!" I'm sure you gave it a fair crack of the whip, but I know I could have quit but was very glad in the end that I didn't.

Not quite. I wouldn't say I disliked it, I just didn't get it ...

It takes a bit of a swerve in episode 13, which
if you aren't going to watch it, I will now spoil
Show
Taking a page for Satre's In Camera, it turns out they are in fact place all along. The idea is to have them torture each other, to save labour. I think the twist kept my interest, but I was enjoying it up until then; I have always loved that sort of metaphysical/bureaucratic films like A Matter of Life and Death or Heaven Can Wait.
Though if you still have the DVD, maybe watch episode 13 rather than reading that, and see if you want to go back and watch the rest.

I'm following the Spine Race (268 miles on the Pennine Way)

http://live.thespinerace.com

Jasmin Paris is an absolutely awesome athlete. She's covered 261 miles in about 70 hours and looks to be going to win the race and smash the course record. The dude coming second is 8 miles behind her - so I don't think she'll be caught. She's top of my list of all time great athletes (men or women) - absolute respect.

BTW the fastest I've done the PW is 10 days.

Thanks @Rocky. I knew this day would come: endurance sports where there are women who can compete equally with men.

Though Beryl Burton beat men's endurance records decades ago - but I only recently heard of her.

Trying not to react to 😡 "ladies".

I know what you mean - it seems incredibly dated. I think they'll have to change it to competitors.......there are some amazing women trail runners at the mo.

And she's finished! 83 hours and change.

I don't the route at all, but I am happy to accept that's impressive.

Off to read all about this race.

Edit: I had assumed it was a cycle race! Fuck me, it's an ultra marathon.

The 2nd place dude is still out running. Amazing woman - not only is it 268 miles, it’s hugely hilly and navigation can be really difficult particularly at night. I also think that she’s only had about 6 hrs sleep over the last 3 and a bit days.
