That's my performance review sorted: "Exceeded expected outcomes and delivered outstanding results." ^-^
I think that I can speak for all of us, without any fear of contradiction, when I say that we are all very proud of you.

I always find the self assessment section of a performance review quite tricky, but you seem to have nailed it.

Cheeky git! I had actually graded myself the level below (we have a five level grading system). My boss pushed it up.

Your boss is a smart item, who understands that your productivity is enhanced by regular ego-massaging.

Must resist smirking at obvious innuendo.

Going on time, it's about 4 hours from Preston to Stirling on the sleeper.
I was hoping to discover a Eurostar journey, but it seems to be quite difficult to get very far by mistake.

I did once get on a train from London Bridge to Waterloo East and wake up in Erith.

An update on the exam I was worried I had messed up. Got the last of my results for my essays and exams. I passed! Time for a celebratory drink. :D

So off to join my neighbours at our first byo dinner of the year, at a local Lebanese restaurant we haven't tried yet.

Being Australian, where bringing your own wine is a national pastime, I of course have a specifically designed insulated bag...

We are no longer dry January here. The kitchen tap has decided to spring a leak. No damage done and I know the problem, so it's off to B&Q first thing tomorrow followed by removing all the waste plumbing under the sink to remove the tap.

Bum.

It's a simple fix, the hard part is stripping everything away to get to it.

We’re on the Eurotunnel train. Just waiting for it to depart. I wonder what the delays will be like post-Brexit?

So we've done this BYO dinner for a couple of years, but last night is the first time we have opted to adjourn to the pub afterwards. Boy, people were very drunk by the end of the evening.

I feel proud to have withstood the call of the demon drink.

Next test: just got a text from a very old friend from Australia who is in town Thursday and wants to meet for a beer. 😰
