Bollocks to Brexit

Re: Bollocks to Brexit
I've just skip watched the whole programme, here...

The spat can be found at 40 minutes and as you can see, the stare off continues after the above clip.
To be fair Will Self was needling fat Tory boy throughout the whole show.

I'd also add that I can't abide "Just a Minute" but I really like Will Self. He's intelligent and funny.

Look what happens when you waver someone off the gammon line. He's just showing himself up to be a shallow-thinking fool, not worthy of his position.
"Some leavers are racist."
"Take that back! You're saying all leavers are racist!"
That's a racist admission if ever I saw one.

Will Self is probably our best and most versatile novelist, and has been for some time. His latest modernist novels are brilliant - I've recently finished Phone.

You hadn't worked out that "Flying Monkey" is a sockpuppet, and the posts where I take the piss are a subtle joke?
I make no apology for having and expressing an opinion about something cultural.

I've just slid through the programme. The best bit is when the gammon was asked about women's day. After getting a little defensive he started to say that it was great because the first woman Prime Minister was a woman, but then realised what an absolute idiot he was being so checked himself.

With apologies to any philistines out there, here's a rather nice bit of video art I saw today in a shop window in Amsterdam.

I'm going to hold my hands up and admit to feeling pretty dreadful about all this today, not that I haven't felt dreadful for nearly 3 years, but today...
I don't think it'll get through, but it might and even if it doesn't (unless she resigns, which I seriously doubt) I suspect she'll seek an extension to take us right to the cliff edge using the elections as leverage for her deal or no deal.

I just can't call what's going to happen, either. I hate uncertainty and I hate last minute decisions. It'll be far worse for businesses planning investment, managing supply chains and trying to work out how to keep customers. We are in the Dales at the moment - large parts of the economy depend on the hill farmers. If the Govt decides to slash import tariffs on sheep and dairy products, there are many that will simply go bankrupt. I'm losing sleep over this but my problems pale into insignificance compared with these farmers and the people in this area.Sonic Budgie wrote: ↑5 years agoI'm going to hold my hands up and admit to feeling pretty dreadful about all this today, not that I haven't felt dreadful for nearly 3 years, but today...
