This tweet actually pleases me, as all it achieves, is to make hard line Brexiteers look even stupider and hopefully further discredit their entire campaign...

The uncertainly feels really bad, but then I look across the Atlantic, and see Trump threatening to shut the southern border - an act as bad for the country as a hard Brexit would/will? be for us, and I realise things could be worse.

He backed down. But he's done stupid, destructive things before (tariffs, Government shutdown). He's capable of doing it.

Boris Johnson, a Leave voter and a European migrant worker sit down at a table with twenty Jaffa Cakes. Boris then proceeds to scoff down nineteen of them before turning to the Leave voter, "Watch out for that immigrant" he whispers "he's after your Jaffa Cake".

Inspired by @Rocky ...

Charles Dickens described Brexit:
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

Dear Department for Health & Social Care

When you issue new guidance to the NHS on Brexit preparations and proposed changes to the charging regime for EU citizens, it would be helpful if you sent it to *all* NHS providers...
