I think it great how hard you are being on yourself; you are going to be an amazing healthcare worker. But I am sorry you are finding it tough going.

(I had a friend studying medicine. She was so disinterested and lazy, she had to do make up exams at the end of each year. I don't know if she ever graduated; I hope not, she'd make a terrible doctor)
To be honest ive not found it tough per se, but Ive been out of education for a while so its not what Im used to and I need to build my confidence (that I can do it) up. I am a bit of a perfectionist too, I dont like mistakes which is probably a good thing in this profession. Its also been my first exam for a long time and apart from my mistake Im happy with it, Onwards are upwards!

Absolutely, rocking up at 11pm and having some homemade tonnarello and a glass of Peroni with the place still bouncing is a rare treat. Potentially rarer still if we do decide to tell our European friends to do one.

Our hot water has failed. Again. Second Sunday morning in a row, and third time inside just over a month. Two different attempts to fix it haven't worked. At least we have a solar hot water system so today's sun will give us something this evening, and at least the heating is still working.

I'm wondering whether to take one of my rifles with me to the airport on Saturday.... we're due to fly from Gatwick.

Yup. 👍

I can't see how that could go wrong.

There's no sport with a shotgun. A rifle is a marksman's tool.

(My inner feminist has just had a battle with herself, and we have decide that "marksman" is ok)

I was lumping drones in with Gamebirds.

I got that. I was trying to get into spirit of it, assuming some hunters might regard a shotgun as cheating.

Can you tell I don't know any hunters?

True fact: my father was apparently an excellent shot; a rifle instructor during national service. I never saw him hold a gun. I think that makes me Scout Finch.

Apparently eagles are what are required......although I'm buggered if I know what a group of drugged up 1970s west coast musicians will be able to do about it.

There’s an awful lot of pissed off people there, can’t they just get them round the perimeter with a pile of rocks and a catapult each?
